RingerFree v2.x Directions
Here are the directions for setting up a league manually. If you are lucky enough to be in a supported league, then simply make sure the "Download leagues" checkbox is checked and select the your division, and the 2 clans playing in the match. The rest of the settings are filled in automatically. If you run a league and would like to be supported by this program, follow these directions. 1). Start RingerFree
2). Enter IP, Port, and RCON for server and click the "Save" button. Then click the "Monitor Server" button to verify the settings. It will take one full cycle (10 seconds) to verify all the settings and connect to the server. If the settings are correct, you will see the "MONITORING SERVER" message in the status bar at the bottom. Press the "Stop" button to begin adding Leagues in the next section. When the ID lists are blank (or invalid), they will be ignored. If all of the lists are blank, then no one will be flagged as a ringer.
You can also test your server settings by clicking the "Show" button. This will bring up an RCON window where you can enter any rcon command to the server. In the example below, I just entered the "users" command. Click the "Hide" button to remove the RCON window and go back to the league settings.
3). Add a new league by entering a name in the dropdown list and filling in the ID and/or Ban lists. Once you have entered the information click the "Add" button. You can only click "Add" if the league name is unique (otherwise it will be greyed out). You can click the "Remove" button to delete a league. The "Clear" button will just clear out all of the league fields, but will not effect any of the saved leagues. Make sure that you click "Save" after making any changes. You should not use a ID list that includes ALL of the ID's for every clan in a league. The ID list should only include the ID's of the clans participating in the match. You can use 2 separate lists (one for each clan) in the 2 spaces provided, or you can use one list that includes the ID's of both clans combined. The Ban List should include the ID's of any player that is banned in the current league. Some leagues do not list these ID's on the same page (each banned player has a separate page). In that case, you should create you own local list and use it. These lists don't change very often, so updating them will be infrequent. The Additional Approved ID's field can be used to manually add approved ID's in directly. Use the "HLTV" checkbox to automatically approve the first Player with "HLTV" in the name (hopefully the HLTV proxy you setup). Alternately, you can just wait until the HLTV proxy enters the ringer list, and then manually enter the ID as an approved ID. You will need to Stop/Start the monitoring to make any change in the approved ID field, but you can check/uncheck the HLTV box while it is running. Below is an example of the 3 ways you can enter values into the List fields: 1). HTTP URL, 2). full local file path, or 3). network URL via share. The location (file) that contains the ID's can be in ANY format you like (as long as it contains the ID sequence somewhere in the file). The program simply inputs the file as a long string and then searches that string for the ID.
4). Add all of your leagues and use the dropdown list to switch between them.
5). Select a league and click the "Monitor Server" button to begin monitoring. Below you can see RingerFree monitoring my public NS server with the the -SIN- TFL ID list loaded. No SIN players are on the server at the moment, so all 12 players appear as ringers :). Since I don't have "Broadcast" checked, no one on the server knows it is being monitored. Also, since I don't have "Kick" or "Ban" checked in the ID List section, none of the "ringers" are kicked or banned. You can check/uncheck any of the check boxes while the program is running. If you select "Match Timer", then the program will broadcast timeleft messages at 15, 10, 5, and 1 minute remaining. The Update interval defaults to 10 seconds. This means that the program requests the "rcon user" list from the HLDS every 10 seconds. You may use any value between 1 and 60 seconds. Don't forget that it takes 2 updates to populate the ringer list (so a long update interval will take a long time to generate the ringer list).
6). Click "Stop" to stop monitoring the server. The violation list will stay on the screen until you either close the program or click the "Monitor Server" button again. |
