The Thomas Jefferson Middle School Special Education department is one that keeps itself very busy. Ms. Sica's class is currently working on learning how to balance checkbooks. The students can earn play money by getting 100 percent on tests, homework, etc. and for positive behavior. The students fill out deposit slips and go to the "bank". The "bank" was constructed by Mr. Fernandez, the Industrial Arts Teacher. With the money they earn the students can purchase no homework passes, games, computer passes, etc. They must write me a check and balance their checkbooks correctly before they can receive items.
