The Thomas Jefferson Middle School Industrial Arts department no longer exists. We are now The Thomas Jefferson Middle 5chool Technology Department. Mr. Frisina and Mr. Fernandez have been working hard to develop a successful technology program that will benefit the students of Edison Township.

What is Technology? Technology is the use of knowledge and resources to develop goods and services that will benefit society. In Thomas Jefferson, technological literacy is vital to our community and to our world. Therefore, we must develop a program that will educate and prepare our children for a rapidly changing community and world.

Mr. Frisina brought technology education to Thomas Jefferson. He has been representing Thomas Jefferson Middle School during the transition. His classroom is now a demonstration site for the state of New Jersey. Mr. Frisina is also the Executive Board Secretary for, Technology Fducators Association of New Jersey as well. lYlr. Frisina is an active teacher developing new ideas and projects that will encourage students to learn and become technologically literate individuals.

Technology projects, such as, Co2 powered vehicles, hover crafts , rockets, mousetrap vehicles, electronic games and devices, solar powered projects and much much more. Mr. Frisina and Mr. Fernandez have visited various model schools through out New Jersey and have attended various workshops and conferences. They are qualified to develop a program that will move Thomas Jefferson into the twenty first century.
